After watching it with some fun folks and commentating the whole time, here are my observations of my weird obsession that is The Biggest Loser. You know, some people like to blog about the Grammy's. Some like to blog about American Idol. Some even the Bachelor and Bachelorette. I, however, will forever be faithful to The Biggest Loser.
1) DANNY WON! Seriously, I could have puked I was so nervous. I know I don't even know the guy, but is he not just the sweetest thing? He seems so very genuine and I could not be happier that he is the biggest WINNER! (Don't laugh at my lame lines, please. It might hurt my feelings.) I've loved him from day one, so I was thrilled to pieces that he took home the grand prize.
2) When Rebecca got voted off earlier this season, she was interviewed on Jay Leno and spilled the beans that she and Daniel were dating. It was shocking, but I quickly became okay with it. However, after texting with Jen after the show tonight, we're not sure they're still together. They didn't mention anything about their relationship, so it could have been short lived. I'm hoping they are together and happy still, but you just never know.
3) Speaking of Rebecca, love the girl, but she could have added a good 12 inches to her dress. Clearly by the way she was pulling at it, she was not comfortable whatsoever! She looks beyond fabulous and was glowing, but sister is going to regret that dress for years to come. I just know it! Also, who wasn't sure about her blonde locks? I'm not sure how I felt about that change. I tend to favor the brunette look she was sporting all season. She's precious, nonetheless!
4) UM HELLO! ALEX AND ANTOINE GOT ENGAGED!! How stinkin' adorable was that? We were all discussing this before the show and mentioned it could probably happen, but the fact that it DID actually happen is AWESOME! I think now is an appropriate time to note that The Biggest Loser has now had more successful hook-ups than The Bachelor or The Bachelorette combined. Hmm, maybe they could get a few tips from them. I'm just sayin'.
5) Can we please just talk about Abby and how amazing she is? I want to be her when I grow up. Not only is she a doll, but she looked GORGEOUS tonight and was just glowing. My favorite thing about her is that she never fails to mention the fact that there is always hope. Amen, sister! If a girl like her who's been through all the tragedy she's had to deal with and can still hold on to hope, I think all of us can. Just through many other interviews I've read with her and watched with her, I'm almost positive she is a believer. And she's from Texas. Need I say more?
6) How awesome that Shay is coming back for Biggest Loser Season 9 Finale? I knew they'd hook her up somehow. But y'all, $1,000 for ever pound she looses?? Insane, I tell you. Insane. I'm so happy though because I really want her to be a success story and loose all the weight she needs to and keep it off, this gives her a chance to do just that and have a goal in mind. She can do it! I'm so proud of her.
7) I know Bob and Jillian aren't the focus of the Finale, but I am thinking they did not show enough of them tonight. I love to see their reactions to all the contestants and we didn't get to see that! They must be so proud. Have I ever mentioned how much I want a Bob Harper hug? Because I do. Yes, yes I do. But how cute are they coming out holding hands. I love them. Now if they would just get married, I'd be pleased. They would have the most healthy and physically fit babies by far.
8) How cute is Alison Sweeney? She is a great host. To stand up there for 2 hours and do that isn't easy. Not to mention the heels she did it in. Did you see those? Mercy. She's every woman.
9) Who's excited for Season 9? It starts January 5th so you best all get your DVR's ready. It looks like it's going to be a great season. And quite frankly, I am sensing love in the air already from a few of the contestants. Oh, I can't wait!
10) Everything about tonight was just superb. I love, love, love The Biggest Loser, folks. Take it or leave it. If you don't love it, you can just act like I never even wrote this post. However, I'll just keep loving it.
11) My next goal in life is to make it to the Season 9 Finale. Like, I mean fly to L.A. and see the whole thing live and in person. And maybe even get a Bob Harper hug. If I was kidding, I wouldn't have even written it on this here blog. I don't joke about Biggest Loser folks, oh no, no I don't. Any takers?

Maybe if I was offered 1,000 dollars for every pound I loose, I could get my booty motivated to get back to the gym!
You forgot to mention that when Rebecca won, she ran over to hug everyone and she and Daniel looked like they had no intention of hugging. I think they're over.
If someone offered me $1000 for every pound I lost, homegirl would be 52 lbs by the end of it all.
Danny has a great smile. I'm glad he won over Rudy. Rudy never seemed to be challenged. Danny had to really fight to start putting up the big numbers.

I didn't really have a favorite the entire season, but I was so happy when Danny won. I love the concept of the show because even those who don't "win" the show are still winners in life. They've proven they can work hard to transform their lifestyles. It's awesome!
I never got used to Rebecca and Daniel as a couple once she announced they were together, but last night, there were plenty of cringe-worthy moments for them: the awkward looks at each other, Rebecca hugging everyone but Daniel after she'd won. Did you notice they did sit next to each other once she was done celebrating her victory?
And remember in one episode they said that Daniel was going to introduce his girlfriend at the finale.... so I am going to boldly guess they are over, BUT I NEVER KNEW THEY WERE TOGETHER!!!!!
And I cringed when Rebecca walked and was so sad that she didn't wear a dress that was LONGER!!!! I mean she looked amazing but longer would have made her PERFECTION!
LOVE LOVE Abby.
And HELLO did not even recognize what's her face because she was almost TOO SKINNY!
And I was so happy for Danny!!!!!!
I hope Subway has to write Shay a FAT check!!!

If it couldn't be Abby, Amanda or Rebecca, I wanted it to be Danny. So I am tooo excited. But, yes, Rebecca needs the dark hair back and she was tuggin at EVERYTHING she wore all night. Honey, you are thin now ... you can stop. That tuggin is just for us fat girls!
I would LOVE to go to a finale ... and I would love to be thin when I go. Better get started on that one!
